Becky became a business owner in 1998 when she started Becky’s Pet Care, Inc. The business began in the basement of her home with Becky as the sole employee. The need for professional pet sitting in Northern Virginia fueled the growth of her business and it rapidly expanded. Becky's Pet Care, Inc. now has commercial office space in 2 locations, has served over 2800 clients, and employees 50 pet care professionals, 4 District Managers, and two full time administrative assistants. With the growth of her business, Becky has developed her expertise in small business ownership to include personnel management, systemization, marketing, business planning and development, and human resources.
Becky is an avid animal lover, as evidenced by her support and involvement with various local and national animal rescue groups. She grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania and helped raise and care for many animals including livestock, family pets, and her horses. She is also active in her local community in a variety of ways. She is very involved with the Community Business Partnership in Alexandria, her local PTA in Arlington, and serves on Board of Directors at her church.
