February 7, 2012: On March 2 The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) is hosting its 2012 Mardi Growl Gala and fundraiser at the historic Terminal A at Reagan National Airport. The proceeds from this event provide for thousands of animals throughout the year. In support of the AWLA, Becky’s Pet Care is giving away two tickets and a parking pass (A $165 value!).  Anyone is eligible to win.  There are a number of ways to enter.

1. Friend Becky’s Pet Care (facebook.com/beckyspetcare.com) on Facebook and write on the wall saying you would like to enter the Mardi Growl ticket raffle.

2. Send an email to Jenny@beckyspetcare.com.

Last year this event SOLD OUT so you don’t want to miss this year’s event.  Enter until Midnight February 16.  Winner will be announced February 17.

January 19, 2012: Becky O’Neil, President and Founder of Becky’s Pet Care, was selected from over 5,000 submissions to be featured in The 2012 Woman’s Advantage Shared Wisdom Calendar.The calendar provides advice for women business owners from influential women leaders across the US and Canada.

Mary Cantando, Growth Expert of The Woman’s Advantage, today announced that Becky O’Neil’s advice has been included in the 2012 calendar.

This quote was selected because it was powerful yet easy to understand. Her idea is relevant to almost every woman in business today,” says Cantando. “Women business owners and those who dream of starting a business will learn so much from the advice provided by Becky O’Neil and the other successful women quoted in the calendar.”

The Woman’s Advantage 2012 Calendar provides sound bits of advice on key business issues including: organization, promotion, sales, and human resources.

January 6, 2012: Becky’s Pet Care Inc. has been awarded the prestigious 2011 Angie’s List Super Service Award (for a second consecutive year!), an honor bestowed annually on approximately 5 percent of all the businesses rated on the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews on local service and health providers. Angie’s List Super Service Award winners have met strict eligibility requirements including earning a minimum number of reports, an exemplary rating from their clients and abiding by Angie’s List operational guidelines.

November 3, 2011: Becky’s Pet Care is thrilled to be celebrating its 13th Anniversary this year! Having achieved a number of milestones, this anniversary is extra special. 1) Two new office locations that allow BPC to better serve its clients and staff; 2) Employee growth, up to 80 employees this year. “We are happy to provide so many excellent employees with jobs that are flexible and provide many benefit options. Generating enough work to employe more staff is one of the greatest achievements of my business,” explains owner Becky O’Neil; 3) Giving back and donating to many worthy causes (such as HART, Fairfax Pets on Wheels, GoodDogz.org, and Lost Dog & Cat Resue) and thus helping to make our community a better place to live for both humans and animals; and finally 4) another “Best of” award from the Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Angie’s List. Here’s to another great year and continued excellence in pet care!

April 19, 2011: With a continued commitment to the highest quality care for pets, Becky’s Pet Care began offering pet first aid and CPR certification courses to all pet care professionals on a quarterly basis last year. Today, Becky’s Pet Care has 25 certified professionals on staff –totaling 35% of the BPC staff. Each quarter, an additional 15 additional employees take the course and BPC anticipates having nearly 100% of all staff being certified before October 2012. As a local business, BPC also places a strong emphasis on working with other local businesses. Becky’s Pet Care provides this training through Canine Copilots, LLC. Owner and Instructor Jacy Kelly, a certified PetTech instructor, teaches our quarterly classes. Pet Tech courses are quite comprehensive and cover topics such as Rescue Breathing, canine and feline CPR, choking management, bleeding and shock management, pet vitals, heat and cold injuries, seizure and special care for senior pets. President & Founder Becky O’Neil finds “the services and training provided through Canine Copilot and PetTech are outstanding and I feel good knowing providing this certification to employees makes the pets in our care even more safe – and that gives me peace of mind.”
January 1, 2011: Becky’s Pet Care received Angie’s List Super Service Award for outstanding pet sitting and dog walking, traditionally given to only five percent of all the companies rated. “We are honored to have won the coveted Super Service Award from Angie’s List. We strive to provide the best possible service to each of our clients’ pets and are proud to be recognized with this top honor.” states Becky O’Neil, President & Founder of Becky’s Pet Care. “I know our Pet Care Professionals are dedicated and provide great service, but it’s also wonderful to hear our clients and Angie’s List confirm it.”
October 20, 2009: Becky’s Pet Care received MVLE’s annual Chairman’s 2009 Award at their Annual Meeting on October 20. The Award was for supporting MVLE’s mission of creating futures one person at a time for people with disabilities through employment and services.
October 2009: Becky O’Neil, President of Becky’s Pet Care, was selected to be one of the Community Business Partnership’s Hall of Fame in Class of 2009. This recognition was given for the professional growth of a small business with the assistance of the CBP’s training and services.
